The National Railway Group announced today (January 12) that the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link will resume operation on January 15, and ticket sales will begin at 12 noon today.

The Jiemian News reporter noticed that shortly after ticket sales started at 12:00, 12306 malfunctioned, and the high-speed rail tickets between Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Hong Kong could not be displayed.

The reporter searched for tickets from Guangzhou to Shenzhen through 12306, and the page displayed “Sorry, the query failed.” As for the tickets from Shenzhen to Guangzhou, they can still be purchased from January 12 to January 14, and cannot be displayed on and after January 15.

The reporter noticed that within a few minutes after the opening of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail at 12 o’clock today, the high-speed rail to Hong Kong can still be purchased, but it will not be displayed for a long time. As of press time, the reporter could not find the high-speed rail between Hong Kong and Guangzhou and Shenzhen through 12306.

Similarly, the Humen station on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail line, tickets to Guangzhou and Shenzhen cannot be displayed.

Jiemian news reporters inquired that Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Harbin, Chengdu-Chongqing, Wuhan-Changsha, Xi’an-Yinchuan and other routes can buy tickets normally, and Guangzhou and Shenzhen go to Beijing, Shanghai, Nanning, Guiyang, Xiamen, Nanchang and other places Tickets are also available for purchase as normal.

There is a problem with the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail that tickets cannot be purchased, which may be related to the resumption of ticket sales for cross-border trains today. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link opened to traffic on September 23, 2018. From January 30, 2020, cross-border trains will be suspended due to epidemic prevention and control.

Many users told Jiemian News that it is currently impossible to buy Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail tickets, but some users can inquire and purchase on 12306. 12306 customer service said that currently the high-speed rail ticket sales between Guangzhou and Shenzhen are normal, and some users may not be able to purchase tickets due to system or network problems. It is recommended to refresh multiple times.
