Today, I slept until I woke up naturally, and yesterday’s consultancy work is over. There is only one thing scheduled for today, and that is to go to the M+ Museum in Hong Kong to see the “I.M. Pei’s Life as an Architect” exhibition.
It takes only 15 minutes from Shenzhen’s Futian Station to Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Station by high-speed rail. Today I sat on this dynamic number I do not know whether it is a new car, the second-class seat position is also more comfortable, did not let me “fidgety” feeling, more “hard”.
After crossing the border in West Kowloon and walking to M+, I didn’t realize that Google Map almost led me to a pit, giving me a 40min walking route. I felt something was wrong, so I took out the Apple Map and saw that I could walk along the roadside of the construction site in front of me for 10 minutes. Well, last time I was there I took the long way north.
It’s my second time at M+, and I know my way around. The I.M. Pei exhibition was very informative, I watched it for almost three hours, besides the introduction of his works, sketches and hand-drawn renderings, the most memorable part of the exhibition was the talk about materials. The most memorable part of the exhibition was the talk about materials. Researching the characteristics of new materials, discovering new uses for old materials, and applying them to one’s own architecture. I think this is the case for APPs. With the rapid iteration of application technology and the development of AI, although we are still making these “small products”, it is very important for us to think about how to incorporate new technologies into them in a timely manner, and this is something that I have not done enough. After the exhibition, the staff even asked me to do a ten-minute questionnaire. I would like to see the Suzhou Museum and the Louvre that he designed later.
After the show, I went back to Elements mall, had a pork chop rice with double the iced lemon tea, and headed straight to the airport, where dinner was served on the plane, and it was unexpectedly delicious.
