Chuangyebang was informed that recently, Xinyan Hydrogen Energy announced the completion of the A round of financing, with a financing amount of over 100 million yuan. This round of financing will be used for the construction of Xinyan Hydrogen Energy’s headquarters in Yizhuang, Beijing, the construction of Xinyan Hydrogen Energy’s Chengdu base, the expansion of the research and development teams of Xinyan Hydrogen Energy Beijing R&D Center and Dalian R&D Center, product upgrades and market expansion.
Founded in 2017, Xinyan Hydrogen Energy is a hydrogen fuel cell developer, focusing on the development and application of new energy materials, hydrogen energy, fuel cells and energy storage technologies. Its products include metal bipolar plates, 2kW-220kW stack modules, 36kW-160kW vehicle fuel cell system and 500W-300kW test bench are used in the fields of automobiles, drones, ships, individual power supplies and backup power supplies.
Xinyan Hydrogen Energy is headquartered in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, and currently has 4 subsidiaries: Beijing Xinyan, Dalian Qingyan, Datong Xinyan, and Chengdu Xinyan. Among them, Datong Xinyan has an annual production capacity of 1,000 sets of 100-kilowatt metal plate stacks. After the Chengdu Industrialization Base was put into operation in September this year, it is expected to produce 1,000 fuel cell systems per year.
The hydrogen fuel cell system is composed of a stack and an air intake system, a cooling system, a hydrogen supply system and an electronic control system.
Among them, the bipolar plate is an important component of the hydrogen fuel cell stack. Its function is to ensure the flow of gas on the surface of the electrode, transport the reaction gas to the membrane electrode, collect current and heat, and discharge the water generated in the battery reaction at the same time. In general, metal bipolar plates can account for 42% of the cost of the stack.
Xinyan Hydrogen has certain technical and cost advantages on metal bipolar plates. It is understood that its self-developed metal bipolar plate has mastered a complete set of technologies from flow field design, simulation, stamping, sealing and welding to anti-corrosion coating, which can greatly reduce the cost of the stack and accelerate the industrialization of fuel cells.
The INRG-E series vehicle fuel cell system developed by Xinyan Hydrogen Energy has the characteristics of high power density, reasonable structure, high reliability and good adaptability, which can meet the power requirements of different types of high-power vehicles. It is reported that in May this year, Xinyan Hydrogen Energy cooperated with Dongfeng Motor’s subsidiary bus company to jointly promote the promotion and application of 500 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in multiple fields.
In recent years, domestic hydrogen energy development has ushered in multiple favorable policies. According to relevant reports, the installed capacity of my country’s hydrogen fuel cell system will reach 1101.7MW in 2022, and the scale of China’s hydrogen fuel cell industry will reach 223 billion yuan in 2023.
The fuel cell system is the core of the hydrogen energy industry chain. In the future, it will be a major trend in the industry to reduce the cost of fuel cells through the localization of core components. At present, the main domestic hydrogen fuel cell system companies include Ocean Motor, Weichai Power, Yihuatong, Dongfang Electric, etc., and the start-up companies mainly include Hydrogen State Technology, Ji Chong Hydrogen Energy, etc.
