Echodyne is a developer of radar technology based on special materials that control electromagnetic radiation. It recently announced that it has received $135 million in financing. This round of financing was jointly led by Bill Gates and Baillie Gifford, a world-renowned investment management firm. Other investors include Madrona Venture Group, Vulcan Capital, Northrop Grumman, NEA and Vanedge Capital.
