AMD investigates 450Gb data theft security incident

Hacker group RansomHouse announced the theft of 450Gb of data from AMD, claiming that the company used weak passwords such as password to protect its network. AMD said it is investigating the security incident . RansomHouse’s post claims it hacked AMD’s network on January 5, 2022 and stole 450Gb of data. If Gb is not wrong, this means that the group only stole 56 GB of data. RansomHouse mocked AMD’s use of weak ciphers, saying it also stole documents from AMD’s security division, revealing that the division had received significant financing.
