Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the expansion of Instagram’s international support for NFTs. Previously, support for NFTs was limited to content creators in the United States. Now users and businesses in more than 100 countries in Africa, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas will be able to share their NFTs on Instagram. Meta also announced that Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet are accepted as third-party compatible wallets, and Instagram-powered blockchains have added Flow in addition to Ethereum and Polygon. Instagram’s NFT feature allows users to connect digital wallets to share NFTs, automatically tagging creators and collectors. Publishing digital collectibles on Instagram requires a third-party wallet connection, which previously supported third-party wallets including Rainbow, MetaMask, and Trust Wallet.
