According to the data, Huawei’s revenue in the first quarter fell by 13.9% year-on-year to 131 billion yuan (2021 revenue was 150.057 billion yuan). Huawei’s first-quarter net profit margin fell 6.8 percentage points year-on-year to 4.3 percent.

Hu Houkun, Rotating Chairman of Huawei, said: “The overall operating results were in line with expectations. The consumer business was greatly affected, and the ICT infrastructure business achieved steady growth. In addition, the company has increased investment in research and development to maintain the ability to continuously innovate. Customers create value.”

A Huawei spokesperson also mentioned that Huawei has taken steps to improve the inventory of mobile phones.
