Apple has gradually assembled its products in India and Vietnam over the past few years, reducing its reliance on China. Apple is preparing to use India and Vietnam as two key manufacturing hubs, move 5% of iPhone 14 production to India by the end of 2022, expand manufacturing capacity in India, and move a quarter of production to India by 2025. By 2025, Vietnam will produce one-fifth of iPads and Apple Watches, 5% of MacBooks, and 65% of 65%. In the past few years, India has also attracted more investment from foundry giants such as Foxconn through preferential policies. Abundant labor resources and cheap labor costs make India an ideal location for the next manufacturing base.
