Pinwan reported on September 23, according to Jiemian News, that Samsung Electronics’ outdoor display screen was investigated by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) for allegedly infringing on the patent of display manufacturer MRI and violating the “Tariff Act”.
The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) said on September 22, local time, that it has accepted MRI’s lawsuit against Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDS’s outdoor display “Digital Signage” for allegedly infringing its patents and violating the “Tariff Law”. A related investigation has been launched.
MRI contends that the cooling and cooling system used in Samsung’s “digital signage” displays infringes its patents and violates the provisions of the Tariff Act that prohibits the export to the United States of products that infringe on intellectual property rights such as U.S. patents. MRI is understood to have filed a claim for the same allegation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas last month.
