Recently, it was reported that Lufthansa banned the use of Apple AirTags in checked luggage, listing them as dangerous goods, and the batteries needed to be removed before flight. In response, the airline said there was no ban on AirTags, nor did Lufthansa have guidelines or regulations to ban AirTags. The International Civil Aviation Organization has regulations for this type of equipment, but has no connection with Lufthansa or any other airline. (TechWeb)
