On October 11, local time, the International Monetary Fund said that global economic activity is experiencing a broad and larger-than-expected slowdown, and inflation is higher than it has been in decades. The International Monetary Fund maintained its forecast for global economic growth this year at 3.2% and lowered its forecast for global economic growth in 2023 to 2.7%. This is the weakest growth since 2001 except during the financial crisis and the new crown epidemic. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund expects global inflation to rise to 8.8% in 2022, fall to 6.5% in 2023 and 4.1% in 2024. (CCTV News)
