IT House reported on October 13 that people familiar with the matter said that the European Union may file antitrust charges against Google early next year.
IT House reported that in June last year, the European Commission launched an investigation into Google’s advertising technology business, and they were concerned that the US technology giant may gain an advantage through unfair competition in front of rivals and advertisers.
EU antitrust regulators are preparing to file charges against Alphabet subsidiary Google over its digital advertising business as settlement talks are moving slowly, sources said. The EU competition enforcement agency could issue the allegations early next year, but the timing could still change, one of the people said.
