What’s going on in the Philippines

At the beginning of May, there are actually two major events this week: one is the Russian Victory Day military parade, and everyone is concerned about what Putin will say. The West thinks Putin will declare war on Ukraine. Because it’s about three things: whether the war will go beyond Ukraine’s borders; how far the war will go; and how long the war will take.
But they turned out to be too low. Putin’s speech shows Russia’s attitude: to end the 500-year maritime hegemony of the West since the era of great seafaring, especially the hegemony of the Anglo-Saxons in the past 200 years. The Russian side has declared this before, but the military parade on Red Square is different: in Russia, its viewership rate has reached more than 50%, which is equivalent to Putin’s official announcement to the people of the whole country.
