On October 22, according to IT Home reports, Amazon said it would use Hawaiian Airlines to fly 10 leased Airbus planes to deliver packages across the United States to reduce its dependence on Boeing Co.’s planes.
Delivery of the first Airbus A330 aircraft is scheduled for the end of 2023, and these planes will replace Boeing 767s over the next 18 months. Amazon has a fleet of more than 110 aircraft, mostly Boeing 767s. These planes were used to carry passengers but are now used to transport cargo, and the missions are outsourced to other airlines.
