BioNTech vaccine approved for German expats in China

German Chancellor Scholz, who was visiting China on November 4, attended the joint press conference of the Chinese and German prime ministers. This is the 64-year-old Scholz’s first visit to China since he took office as German chancellor. Before that, he also visited China during his tenure as mayor of Hamburg and German finance minister. Today, Scholz, who has served as German Chancellor for nearly a year, has also become the first Western leader to come to China since the new crown epidemic and after the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Scholz announced at the joint press conference of the two prime ministers that the mRNA new crown vaccine developed by the German company BioNTech will be available in China for German expatriates in China. Of course, this is just the “first step,” Scholz said. He looks forward to the further expansion of the beneficiaries of the Biontech vaccine in China in the future.
