5 people died! A high-rise residential area in Xi’an catches fire

@Xi’an Fire Bulletin, at 13:21 on December 1, the command center of the Xi’an Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm from the masses: smoke was coming from a high-rise residence in Fengminghuafu Community, Weiyang District, and the command center immediately dispatched 18 vehicles and 76 people to the scene for disposal. At 13:32, the fire rescue station in the jurisdiction arrived at the scene. After investigation, it was learned that the lobby, aisle, and stairwell on the first floor of Building 6 of the community were on fire. The smoke at the scene was relatively large and spread along the corridor to the upstairs. At 13:50, the open fire on the scene was extinguished, and the participating forces continued to check the evacuated personnel floor by floor and house by house, and rescued 8 trapped people, of whom 5 died after rescue failed, and the other 3 people’s vital signs were stable.
