Sina Technology News Beijing time on the evening of December 7th, according to reports, Xiaomi India announced today that its Chief Business Officer (CBO) Raghu Reddy will leave. Currently, Xiaomi is facing increasingly severe competitive pressure in the Indian market.
Radiodetection has helped Xiaomi climb to the top of the Indian smartphone and smart TV market. Xiaomi India said in an email today: “We are honored that Reddy has been an integral part of Xiaomi India’s leadership team. After Reddy resigns, he will seek different development opportunities externally.”
Before serving as chief commercial officer, Reddy was in charge of Xiaomi India’s online sales and made Xiaomi the darling of Indian e-commerce. Before joining Xiaomi, Reddy worked for SnapDeal, an Indian e-commerce platform under Softbank Group.
In June, Xiaomi made organizational changes to its India operations, with head Manu Kumar Jain stepping down (to a global role) and Alvin Tse appointed as the new head of Xiaomi’s India operations.
