Programmers use ChatGPT to help them perfect their code, and cybercriminals turn to ChatGPT to help them perfect their malicious code. OpenAI’s general-purpose chatbot prototype, ChatGPT, makes it possible for less-skilled cybercriminals to quickly write malicious code. Security researchers have observed ChatGPT being used to write malicious code on underground hacking forums. Malicious programs currently developed using ChatGPT are fairly simple, but it’s only a matter of time before more sophisticated programs appear, the researchers said. In a hacker forum, someone described using ChatGPT to recreate common malicious programs under the title “ChatGPT – Benefits of Malware”.
