Operating profit was US$20.399 billion, down 8% from US$22.247 billion in the same period last year. Not in accordance with US GAAP, down 3% year-on-year.
Net profit was US$16.425 billion, down 12% from US$18.765 billion in the same period last year. Not in accordance with US GAAP, net profit was US$17.4 billion, down 7% year-on-year.
Diluted earnings per share were $2.20, down 11% year-over-year. Non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $2.32, down 6% year-on-year.
In the second quarter, Microsoft returned $9.7 billion in cash to shareholders through stock repurchases and dividends, down 11% year-over-year.
