Image gallery service Shutterstock offers its customers its own AI image generation tool. The results of Shutterstock’s partnership with OpenAI, the developer of the DALL-E AI tool announced last October, are now available to all paying customers. To allay concerns about copyright infringement and artistic ethics, Shutterstock says it uses licensed datasets to train its DALL-E and LG EXAONE-powered AI, and that it will pay artists whose work is used in AI-generated images. It will set up a fund called the Contributor Fund.
