Ever since I started using Apple Watch with “One More” to make fitness records, my Garmin Fenix6S has not been so fragrant, and it has been idle for more than a year. I was going on a business trip a few days ago, and since I didn’t want to bear the burden of charging the watch every day, I wiped off the dust on my Garmin and prepared to wear it to Chengdu. After a year, no matter the system of the watch or the various dials installed before, there have been large and small updates. This update does not matter. Suddenly, I found that the dial of Infocal can no longer be used. The specific performance: ConnectIQ on the mobile phone On the watch face, as long as this dial is set, the watch face will not be displayed correctly. There is only an “IQ” word and an exclamation mark in the upper right corner on the watch screen. Other dials are not affected. If no settings are made after Infocal is installed, the dial can be displayed normally. Based on the principle of unwillingness, I tried several times, including restarting the watch, updating ConnectIQ on the mobile phone, setting the watch face in Connect (actually jumping back to ConnectIQ to set it), and reinstalling the watch face, all of which could not solve the above problems. There is even a new problem: During a certain deletion process, it can be seen in ConnectIQ on the mobile phone that the dial has been deleted, but when the dial is switched on the watch end, IQ will still be displayed at the position of the original “Infocal” dial! mistake. It means that the dial file on the watch side has not been deleted. According to the conventional thinking, reinstall, try to cover this undeletable dial on the watch side, and then delete it———The third-party dial can only be deleted through the mobile phone, while the dial created on the watch side can be directly operated on the watch delete. However, after reinstalling, if you do not make any settings on the Infocal dial, it can be displayed normally, but the IQ! error still exists; once it is set, two IQ! errors appear, and deleting the dial can only solve one of them, and the other still exists. It seems that reinstalling the dial cannot achieve file overwriting, and the problem can only be solved by operating on the watch side. As for why not reset the watch settings and restore to factory settings? Because Garmin is too slow to install the dial, the most important thing is that it takes a lot of patience to set up a dial, not to mention the charging dial, I am very worried about the activation code link. Finally, how to solve it: In fact, there is another situation where there is no corresponding SET file, that is, the dial itself does not provide setting functions, such as “JFM Zebra”. Cannot be set.
