For such readers, it may be of little significance if you push advertisements such as XX Blue Moon, and even affect the reading experience. Therefore, from this point of view, I do not want my readers to come to my blog to see some advertisements that do not match the tonal content of my blog.
2. Brand advertisements can be screened to effectively screen out invalid products
For me, although it is good to have money, it does not mean that I will accept advertisements from a certain company. Brand advertising is a two-choice process, and I can discuss sponsorship costs and benefits with brands I like. When we reach an agreement, we will launch it.
That way, I can sift through the products I actually use for my readers. Better for my readers.
3. Compared with affiliate advertising, brand advertising can achieve a win-win situation more easily
The content of the brand advertisement is the product that I have negotiated and used, so the quality of the product is guaranteed. This is not a bad thing for readers that the information they receive is not a shoddy product; for me, my article reading experience has not been degraded too much, so it is an acceptable result. . For the brand side, his advertisement placement is clearly screened, and targeted placement will be better.
From the above perspectives, the advantages of brand advertising are still greater than that of affiliate advertising. Brand advertising has its own problems, though.
- You need to maintain your own customers : brand advertising is different from affiliate advertising. No one helps you negotiate advertising. It is very likely that this year he will cast an advertisement, and he will not vote next year. Then you need to negotiate new customers yourself.
- Income is unstable and there is a window period : There is a process of negotiation and discussion in brand advertising, and it is easy to have a window period for advertising. A window period means that there is no income during this time. For some sites, this is not acceptable.
- Not friendly to small sites : I’ve been blogging for 8 years, well documented for 6 years, and for many small sites just starting out, it’s hard for them to get branded ads. So these are also some limitations.

Brand advertising is a win-win situation, and affiliate advertising is a win-win situation that is difficult to achieve without screening. For bloggers, it’s hard to say that one choice is the best. After 6 years, I’d choose brand advertising, but in the second year of blogging, I’d probably choose affiliate advertising.
