say up front
It has been almost three years since I created my personal blog. During these three years, I have written (shui) a total of 170,000 words in the blog. Among them, a few articles have gained a lot of visits through search engines, and most of the articles have comments. It is often left by other bloggers after mutual visits.
I remember that there was a time when the blog visited 800+ ip on a daily basis. At that time, it was because Bing collapsed, and then I recommended a new search engine. The keyword “Bing collapsed” accounted for the proportion of visits very high.
In addition, the more popular ones are about tailscale, about airconnect, and which one should be the most visited about cat disk repair scripts. At that time, when it was not convenient to disclose the script, I proposed to leave an email in the comment area and I would share it one by one. I gained a lot of comments in those days.
A long time ago, Mr. xaoxuu talked about his point of view. He thought that if you don’t have a real name or log in, the comments are easy to be fake, so it doesn’t reflect much.
2000+ visits
In the past few months, I accidentally discovered that the related search term “wetab” has skyrocketed. I think it is a bit abnormal, but there are only a few hundred ip visits a day, so I don’t care much.
When I opened the statistics today, I was stunned when I saw that the uv had 2000+, thinking that this is too outrageous.
Seeing the visit trend graph shows that the visits are relatively balanced throughout the day, which is very unscientific, because under normal circumstances, there should be very few visits from 1:00 am to 7:00 am.
I click on the real-time visitor and see the following screen:
The sources of these visits are various search engines, but the entry pages and search terms are blocked. After checking the attributes of the visitors, it can be seen from the operating system and browser data that it is basically a normal Internet environment.
how did these visitors get here
Reminiscent of Baidu Statistics’ previous announcement, Baidu Statistics has been able to identify and block the use of access data to scan advertisements and illegal production. Turning several pages in a row are all blocked entry pages and search terms. I think these visits must be abnormal.
In the external link, I saw an unfamiliar domain name, clicked in, and found that it was a website that could bring traffic to the website.
Looking at the prices on the website, the cheapest lightweight version costs 329 a month:
Seeing these contents, I had a guess in my heart. Could it be this website? In order to show that they are really good, I advertised for myself by swiping the traffic, but unfortunately, all the search keywords and entry pages Blocked by Baidu Statistics.
what does it do to me
When I saw so many visits, I checked my cdn traffic consumption for the first time, and the traffic consumption was not much different from usual, so there was no property loss to me. So I have another bold guess, maybe this way of swiping traffic is not simulating real users visiting the website, but doing some operations through loopholes in Baidu statistics.
But I’m not sure whether this behavior will have an impact on my blog SEO (although I haven’t done it), because I’m not sure whether Baidu Webmaster Platform will use the visits of Baidu statistics as one of the included judgments. If a large number of false visits are generated, the search engine may mistakenly think that the website owner did it intentionally, so the authority will be lowered or something.
write at the end
My blog is just a small blog, but I don’t have much technology, so I share more about my daily life. Among the visitor attributes of blogs, most of them are new visitors, and the bounce rate is relatively high. Fortunately, I don’t particularly care about how many visits and comments I have, and I don’t pray to become a well-known blogger.
Since I created my blog for more than two years, apart from being taken care of a few times by people with ulterior motives (referring to CC attacks), nothing particularly memorable happened to me.
There must be a blog, and there must be a comment function, but whether there are visits and comments is actually not that important, because my original intention of writing a blog is just to hope that there will be a relatively free place on the Internet to express what I want That’s all.
