When I was in college, I was apathetic about financial investments, and I slowly realized that these things are like politics—you don’t care about politics, politics care about you.
After reading some history books, I also know how finance is going on. Since the US dollar was decoupled from gold in 1970, the world has entered the era of sovereign currency. Each of us, as long as we use currency, will actually be charged an invisible seigniorage—inflation. History tells us that both inflation and deflation are painful, but deflation is more painful. As long as today and my current government are good to me, who cares about tomorrow and the next one? Therefore, governments of various countries actually tend to have monetary easing, that is, inflation.
Inflation causes the purchasing power of the currency you hold to decrease. Assuming that the purchasing power of money decreases by 6% per year, it seems not much, but after 30 years of accumulation?
So in my opinion, financial investing is something everyone should know. But investing is a professional thing, and you should learn it before entering the market. I started investing in 2015. Based on my own investment experience in recent years, this time I will recommend some financial investment books that I think are good.
