Some time ago, I used Wentribe to back up all my personal Weibo entries since 2012, with a total of more than 1,500 entries.
In the past one or two years, the number of times I have used Weibo can be counted on the fingers, but I occasionally opened it recently and found some unbearable points.
- Advertisements are flying all over the sky, they are already street rats, everyone despises them
- Opening the first screen dynamic advertisement of the program is becoming more and more excessive
- Open the program to automatically refresh the home page
- On the homepage, it actually shows the people your friends have recently followed, Weibo comments, and Weibo likes? ? ?
The fourth point is very incomprehensible. What does this regard user privacy as? I have to let my friends know when I comment on Weibo? What Weibo did my friend like? Do I need to know? Do friends need to tell me who they follow?
So in the middle of the night (2023-07-19 01:34), I impulsively applied for account cancellation, thinking that the previous Weibo had backups, and it was not a big problem.
However, I regretted it in the next day or two, logged in again, and canceled the logout application.
Give Weibo another chance—after two days of experience, I still feel hopeless. I don’t want to use Weibo to record anything in the future. I can just use the memos I built, so I applied for cancellation again. This time I really said it goodbye.
goodbye sina weibo.
