Mr. Ke Chijian’s Iron Song font is now accepting pre-orders.
When we were doing Byte Club, our pre-installed letters in bold were written by Mr. Ke and Xu Hanwen. Now both of them have launched their own Song style (Ming Dynasty style) to the world: Ku Mincho led by Xu Hanwen, and Metro Sung led by Mr. Ke. Compared with Brother Xu’s works that strive to transcend the consciousness of Greater China, Mr. Ke chose to revitalize his most well-known and acclaimed Hong Kong subway logo Arial for the digital age. The cultural symbols born in the golden age of Hong Kong can be regenerated in today’s Hong Kong, which has long been shattered, which is impressive and embarrassing. From a small point of view, these two types of Song style seem to represent two different trends of Chinese culture in this chaotic world; the etiquette is obvious, but the “wildness” to seek is not so clear.
