Today, some students in X initiated a poll on whether they should choose “make a fortune in silence” or “Build in Public”, but in fact, this is somewhat wishful thinking, just like me n years ago…
When chatting with a certain CEO in 2019, I accidentally asked a very “boring” question, “What did we think back then? Why did we choose such a (broken) business?” What an idiot to ask such a low-level question.
In fact, no matter what kind of business it is, as long as your background is not so awesome, especially grassroots entrepreneurship, your past experience, your path dependence, and your opportunity, these are the prerequisites for you to start any business, not you. You can do whatever business you want, and you can hit a hit and do it right away. Business is not a commodity, you can choose whatever you want. A good business has long been divided up by a certain group of people, so where is it the turn of the grassroots group? But if your business has just started, you are still exploring, and you don’t have much traffic or conversions, then choosing “Build in Public” can at least increase your exposure, which is better than not doing traffic without any traffic, right?
