Display analyst @DSCCRoss revealed on Twitter on Friday that the rumored 27-inch “Studio Display Pro” display with mini LED backlight + ProMotion variable refresh rate technology has been delayed internally by Apple. Citing sources, it said Apple had planned to manufacture the device at Quanta Computer’s Shanghai factory. But affected by the repeated COVID-19 outbreaks in recent years, the company is working to move production to another location.
According to the original plan, this 27-inch high-end monitor was expected to be released in October this year. However, in response to a netizen’s comment, Ross Young said that it is not clear about more details other than “expensive”.
As early as March, he revealed that Apple had started panel production for the new 27-inch display and planned to launch the legendary “Studio Display Pro” in June.
With reference to the 27-inch display that Apple has already launched, it is expected that the upcoming new opportunity will be an upgrade on the basis of the Studio Display.
In addition to the mini LED backlight, Ross Young also speculates that the “Studio Display Pro” will introduce Apple’s ProMotion variable refresh rate technology.
Finally, the starting price of Studio Display monitors currently on sale is $1599 (National Bank 11499 RMB).
Built-in A13 processor, support Center Stage and Spatial Audio, supplemented by 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera + 3 microphone array.
