The strong personal style of photography and scene construction should be mentioned in every film review, but to me, it is not too surprising that the Hong Kong director made such an arrangement, and it is even very normal.
- It was a very “Hong Kong” city, with tall buildings and shadows, cities and garbage, and people living in the cracks between every floor;

All these scenes and atmosphere construction are indeed quite “authentic” Hong Kong restorations. As for the black and white images, I guess it is more about focusing on narrative considerations.

The previous films “Fallen Angel” and “One Thought of Ignorance” all have similar themes. , everyone is so close and so far away, this kind of Hong Kong fascinates me.
Everyone’s “wisdom teeth” only need to be dealt with once, but they are metabolized every day. The film’s hints of loops and fatalism are also fascinating:

In fact, I just happened to watch another director Zheng Baorui’s work, “Homicide” during National Day. I went to this film for Galaxy Image, but I didn’t expect that the director was also an old acquaintance.
It is also about the view of fate. “Homicide” talks more from the perspective of looking at fate. It is not as stylized as “Wisdom Teeth”, but it is very cult. It is also recommended to friends who have a preference for Hong Kong movies.
