I’ve spent the last six months listening to podcasts. The good thing about podcasts is that the sound can convey emotions very well, and some creators have very nice voices. Another advantage is that you can listen to it when you are bringing your baby, cooking, and walking, just listening to people chatting at that time. I feel that my eyes and neck are sore after reading for a long time, but I don’t have this problem when listening to the content.
After listening to it during this period of time, I think some of the content is very good, and I have gained something from listening to it.
I mainly use two apps, one is Google Podcasts to listen to some English content, and the other is Little Universe.
The headphone equipment uses Shaoyin bone conduction headphones. I used this headphone mainly for running before, and I have used it for about three years. The biggest advantage of bone conduction headphones is that they don’t feel uncomfortable to wear for a long time. I remember around 2016, a former colleague wore this almost every day. I thought he was wearing a hearing aid at one point, so chatting with him would subconsciously raise his voice. Later I learned that this thing is called bone conduction headphones.
By the way, I would like to praise the brand Shaoyin. Some time ago, a part in my earphones was a little loose, and there was an abnormal noise when I walked, so I contacted their customer service. After the sale, I sent it back to have a look. Although the warranty period has passed, they still replaced the parts for free.
Below are some of my favorites.
English Podcast
The English-language podcast features Lex Fridman, who usually interviews big names. I like the way Lex speaks, it is very decent and sincere. For example, in the interview with Zuckerberg, in the opening paragraph of the interview with Ukraine, you can hear very emotional, and he is of Russian descent.
Another recommendation is Microsoft’s Scott Hanselman, Hanselminutes Technology Podcast . His role is similar to Technical Advocates, which is a bit like a product, but also writes articles, does podcasts, promotes things like that.
Chinese Podcast
The ones I hear more are these:
- Meng Yan – no one knows, mainly personal growth, business, financial management
- Steve said, more general, psychology, interviews
- Three or five rings, interviews
- Wonder Station by Product Meditations, Shaonan, Products and Growth
- Happy Thirty Points, happyxiao’s podcast, tools, writing, productivity, personal growth, and more
- Flip through books, technology
- From zero to one, IT category, the guests are usually some technology industry leaders
- Avocado Toast , IT interview
- ByteTalk , technology, open source, etc.
some impressive
Steve Says Issue 274 – Chen Qiufan – Rational work is handed over to AI, and human beings go to the depths of consciousness
- About AI, Sci-Fi and more
- While listening to this issue, I thought that science fiction may be particularly useful for relieving stress and anxiety, because science fiction allows people to transcend the dimension of time and space, use imagination to understand the world from a wider dimension, when we realize how small human beings are, Many things in life that are usually considered very important are not so important.
- This issue recommends some good books on science fiction, I plan to find them in the future
- I recently watched Liu Cixin’s “Supporting Human Beings”, the story in it seems absurd, but it seems to make sense logically
E09 Meng Yan Dialogue with Huang Hai: Let more people know you, or let those who love you love you more
- About how to be a brand, people go to Starbucks not for the coffee, but for that environment and the communication between friends
- When making a brand early, one strategy is to let the people who love you love you more, not let more people know about you, because the first problem is solved, and the second problem is easy to deal with
- The book about Starbucks founder Howard Schultz, “Pour Your Heart Into it,” might be worth reading
E10 Nobody Knows: Let Everything Go Through You
- This issue is highly recommended, Meng Yan improvised, but it sounds great
- In this issue, he talked a lot, including personal experience in content creation, life, investment, etc.
E12 Meng Yan’s Dialogue with Chi Jianqiang: The most valuable moments in life may be those when we are full of expectations and anxiety about the future
- Although I have read some of Chi Jianqiang’s articles before, I got to know him more deeply through this issue.
- I’m in favor of some of his lifestyles like being optimistic and staying sluggish
Whimsy Station by Product Meditations: About Death: Life is not a well that never dries up, and death will arrive at any time
- Some thoughts on death resonate with me, and the music chosen is also good
I think podcasts are a good way to create content. People like Shao Nan, Meng Yan, and Chi Jianqiang are starting businesses and spend time recording these content. I think in this day and age, good content is an important channel for gaining trust. . People are more willing to believe in live individuals, whose voice is between text and video, just right.
If you have good podcast content, please recommend it to me.
