At almost the same time, many companies across the country made the same decision to terminate their contracts with fresh graduates who have just joined or are about to join.

In the face of the sudden wave of cancellations among the freshmen group this summer, most of the students were caught off guard and became very emotional-because the golden period of school recruitment for gold three and silver four has passed. For them, what is lost is not only precious time, but more importantly, the time window.

Who can be responsible for the golden period of school recruitment they missed?

“The market environment is generally sluggish, and social recruiters have been dismissed in large numbers, not to mention fresh graduates who are new to the workplace.” A headhunter told Wired Insight that termination means that many companies are reluctant to invest more in training fresh graduates.

I am a freshman in 2022 who was terminated by ideal car. I plan to have a million deposit after 3 or 4 years of ideal work. But now all career plans have been disrupted.

Because I studied in the same school for both my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I have been the president of the school’s student union during my schooling, and my social skills and language organization skills have been greatly exercised. This gave me a clear advantage over other competitors in the entire school recruitment process.

In addition, I have an advantage over other teachers in the same school. I have a very good relationship with a teacher who works in Ali. He planned the school recruitment plan for me when I was in my first year of study. So I started to review the questions in the second half of the study, and more practice experience.

Therefore, for the autumn recruit, my preparation time lasted about 10 months. When HR talked to me at that time, he said that not only the ideal salary is high, but also free lunch and dinner, breakfast is very cheap, and there is basically no overtime, the overall treatment is indeed quite attractive.

After signing the tripartite contract with Ideal and the school, I began to concentrate on preparing for the graduation defense, and I did not participate in the spring recruitment.

Unexpectedly, six months later, one morning, as soon as I opened my eyes, I received the ideal cancellation email, which shocked me.

I immediately went to several official groups in the company to see if there were people in a similar situation to me, and it turned out that there were many students who were terminated by Ideal. Most of the people spoke fiercely, and some students even scolded them directly in the group. There are also a small number of people who feel fortunate that they got a better offer later, and the official termination of the contract not only allows them to accept the offer from a new unit, but also earns more than 20,000 in compensation.

At the same time, I went to contact the department leader and HR, and the department leader said he would know about it. As a result, two days later, he sent me a message “I have also been terminated”, and the entire department was laid off. HR has not replied to me until now.

Looking back now, there are already signs of the ideal judge freshman. According to the content of the offer, I should come to the Ideal Headquarters for an internship in April, but HR has been delaying and not allowing me to join. The reason is that due to the epidemic situation in Beijing, for the sake of safety, the employee’s entry is temporarily suspended. After the termination of the contract, it is false that I am not uncomfortable. For me and my mentor, the gap is too big. After getting the ideal offer at that time, my tutor showed off a lot in the whole academy, and now he is also embarrassed.

However, I am also unlucky. A high school friend of mine also got an ideal offer this year and also went to work in Beijing, but he was not laid off.

If I pay the ideal salary, even if I don’t raise my salary, I can earn at least 1.6 million in 5 years. After all kinds of expenses, I can have at least 1 million in savings after 5 years. Now that the contract has been terminated, the goal of one million deposits has disappeared.

Even if the ideal termination time is advanced to April, everyone will not be so angry. May is coming to an end, and this year’s freshmen have missed the best time to find new jobs. Graduation is imminent, the school recruitment channel of the enterprise is closed, and the fresh graduates who have broken their contracts can only find a new job in the highly competitive social recruitment.

At that time, when I received this news, I was helpless and helpless. Because I rejected several offers with good salary for this long-awaited job.

Influenced by my family before, in my concept, the big Internet companies are “moonlight treasure boxes” that provide young people with the dividends of the times and high-quality opportunities.

I have a distant sister who works for an Internet company in Shanghai, and the annual salary is 400,000 yuan after working for a few years. Whenever the elders in the family mentioned her, their words showed pride and envy. So, after I went to college, I always wanted to live in a big city.

Last year, I was in the third year of research, and finally ushered in the long-awaited autumn recruitment, which made me both excited and nervous. Considering my own liberal arts major, among many positions, I only applied for non-technical positions, and the expected monthly salary was 12K.

Perhaps it was because of my sufficient preparations that I encountered a job that I liked very much. When the last round of interviewers nodded to my performance one after another, I knew the job was secure. Although the salary did not meet expectations, but I liked the work very much, so I readily accepted the offer.

Calm down and think about it, the Internet market has not been stable in the past two years, and there have been layoffs. Although the Internet field will continue to develop, the large-scale layoff of fresh graduates this year has made me realize that the company management model and system in this industry do not meet my career selection standards.

After half a month of adjustment, finally, I cheered up and looked for a job. After all, I am already 25 years old, and I don’t want to postpone my graduation. I would waste another year to burden my family. If I can find a relatively satisfactory job, I will start my job first, and then choose a career during the practice process.

But I definitely wouldn’t “roll” in an internet company anymore.

Based on my previous internships, I decided on the employment direction of HR, and began to send resumes from various channels, such as Boss Zhipin, Zhilian, Maimai, Liepin, etc. We will also pay attention to the official accounts of the employment offices of well-known schools in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, such as the Employment Office of Zhejiang University, etc. These schools have abundant resources and will launch some companies to be recruited from time to time.

Sometimes the information sent out has not received a reply from HR, so I will go to Maimai and find some seniors in the company to help with internal referrals.

In the past few weeks, I have received dozens of interview notices, and most of the group interviews have passed the test. In the past, it was difficult for me to pass the group interviews. It may be that as the number of interviews increased and I gained experience, the pass rate during this period became higher.

I found that in fact, there are still a few students whose offers were destroyed, and some excellent students have already taken a lot of offers. The students who are competing with us now have little difference in ability, so you must not be nervous during the interview.

Of course, there will also be some students with very strong academic backgrounds. For example, in the interview I attended yesterday, there was a candidate from the University of London who had 5 high-quality internships. The self-introduction shocked many people. But the one-on-one question-and-answer session was visibly tense. Finally, in a relaxed state, I got the notification of passing the second round of interviews.

Although my current job search status has returned to the track, and some companies are ready to make offers, the salary, company size and salary cannot be compared with the spring and autumn recruitment companies I participated in before, which makes me unable to have a high-quality life in first-tier cities. quality.

Recently, I was preparing for the transfer exam in my home county. There was only a month left before the exam. I was preparing for the corporate interview during the day, and I stayed up until 2 am to watch the civil service written exam tutoring class.

If I am finally admitted to the civil service, I will go directly to my hometown; if I fail the examination, the offer I am currently receiving is my guaranteed employment option.

The contract was broken a month ago, and I still can’t get rid of the depression

According to the normal rhythm, after I completed the defense of my graduation thesis in June this year, I came directly to join this company in Beijing. The monthly salary is 17k and 16. For a student like me who graduated from a dual-non-college, this salary is very impressive.

In fact, the offer I received at that time was the one who got the earliest offer and the most lucrative salary among the students of the same class. To this end, I have become a proud benchmark for my mentors and even the entire college. The school also invited me to participate in lectures to teach the next class of younger students their job-hunting experience. Thinking about it at the time, it was really beautiful.

But in April, I asked the company’s HR if I needed to come to Beijing for an internship in advance, and the other party replied “no”. As a result, in mid-May, my contract was broken. I could have rated outstanding graduates, but because there was no job, I was completely ruined.

The most irritating thing is that I was broken by the company and didn’t pay any compensation. HR’s explanation is that when the three parties were signed at that time, the contract did not have this compensation provision. I was not even given the opportunity to transfer jobs.

Soon, the HR of the other party gave a reply. After that, the written test and the interview process were all unexpectedly smooth and fast, so I got the offer one month after the opening of the autumn recruitment.

Later, as the Spring Festival approached, Tianjin strengthened its epidemic prevention and control policies. After returning home from the Spring Festival, I was unable to go back to school and stayed at home, cooking and walking the dog.

As a result, after lying flat at home for 5 months, I was unemployed near graduation. Then what is the role of my graduate students in the past three years? I am 27 years old this year, and I will be 30 in three years. How many opportunities do I have to experience in society?

All I did was to have a decent job after graduation.

After being terminated by the new oxygen, I want to postpone the completion

About a month after my internship, I received a notice of termination from Xinxing.

For our school admissions, the first job is very important, it represents a springboard for us to determine the salary and rank of the next unit. But now, my springboard is gone.

Back in October 2021, it was the golden period of autumn recruitment. When all the classmates around me were sprinting for the autumn recruitment, I gave up the autumn recruitment because I was doing an internship and could not prepare well.

This is also one of the things I regret. I shouldn’t give up the autumn tricks directly because of the so-called lack of preparation.

It was not until December 2021, when I resigned from the internship unit, that I began to officially prepare for the spring recruits and frantically write questions. In fact, I could have gotten the offer through my internship, but my thinking was not as advanced as it is now. Professionals like us are not so flexible, so I really took a lot of detours.

Moreover, I also underestimated the difficulty of this year’s spring recruiting. This spring recruiting is much more difficult than the autumn recruiting. At this time, I realized that the low response rate may be related to the size of the company and the work location. When I tried to expand the scope of work to first-tier cities and medium-sized enterprises, the interview opportunities began to increase, and I gradually entered the interview and written test.

I was lucky, and finally signed a tripartite contract with Xinxing in March, and it was my hard work that finally paid off. As far as I know, I am one of the few students in our school who got the offer in the spring recruitment.

In fact, the process of signing the contract with New Oxygen was not very smooth. The recruitment information shows that the minimum monthly salary for the position is 15K, but after three rounds of interviews, HR told me that the company will give the highest salary of 15K, and I agreed. As a result, HR notified again the next day and could only give 14K.

Although I am really getting more and more angry, considering that I am a dual-non-college institution, there are not many job opportunities, and I cannot win too many conditions with HR, so I choose to compromise again. In the end, New Oxygen offered me a monthly salary of 14K and 15, which was slightly lower than my expectations.

I thought that the salary issue was my final concession to New Oxygen, but I didn’t expect this to be just the beginning.

I am a computer major. At the beginning, Xinoxy opened GO, Java, PHP and other multi-directional positions. I chose Java, and the interviewer and HR did not mention the job direction during the interview process. So I thought that after joining the job, Xinoxy would arrange a Java position for me according to the position I applied for. but it is not the truth.

At the beginning of April, when I entered the company and started my internship, I found out that most of the back-end R&D positions are PHP, a few positions are GO, and Java is basically not available.

At this time, my immediate superiors and department heads suggested that I should do the PHP job first. But I still want to go to a Java position. The development prospects of Java and PHP are very different. Java has the best future development trend, and PHP is already a thing of the past. What’s more, the Java courses I have taught myself for a long time can be used in formal jobs.

In the end, the leader arranged me in the Java position, and an old employee took me to study. But less than a month later, the old employee was laid off.

The few senior Java employees left, and I had to step back and go to other positions.

However, when I suggested to my superiors that I could transfer to a GO or PHP position, the head of the department directly informed me that night that the company did not have so much time to train management trainees. Moreover, the research and development direction I am good at is different from that of the company, and the company does not have much time for me to re-learn the content of the new position. In addition, the company transferred my post and let me resign on the same day.

To be honest, during the working period of New Oxygen, I would take my computer with me every day when I went out to prevent unexpected work. But in the end it was abandoned by the company.

Fortunately, I kept the offer at that time, and it clearly stated that the company notified the employees 3 days in advance. I bought myself another three days, and after a week-long battle with HR, I got half a month’s compensation. About 7000 yuan.

Here is a piece of advice, fresh graduates who have been unilaterally terminated by the company must try their best to seek compensation for themselves, which is what we deserve.

Now the matter of the new oxygen breaking the contract has been resolved, but I am still very affected now. No matter how much compensation is given, it is all harm and no benefit to our fresh graduates. School recruitment is the biggest benefit for the freshmen, there is no one. School recruitment is gone, where do we go to find a job?

There is only one month left before graduation, and the job has not yet been settled, so I already have the idea of ​​extending my graduation. Although people around me are persuading me to postpone my graduation, Shuangfei’s academic background makes me unable to have enough confidence to find a job with an ideal monthly salary after graduation.
