Bain Capital recently disclosed that it has completed the raising of its second Asia-Pacific special opportunity fund, Bain Capital Special Opportunity Asia Fund II (SSAII). The fund’s total capital commitments exceeded $2 billion, beating its $1.5 billion target. The fund has also become the largest special opportunity fund in the Asia Pacific region.
The new fund will continue the strategy of Special Opportunities Asia Fund I to develop flexible and diversified investments across different sectors, asset types and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
