The Google Android Developers Blog announced the minimum hardware requirements for Android 13 Lite, Android Go. Android Go is optimized for low memory and slow processors. It was released in 2017, and it was largely up to OEMs to decide whether to adopt it or not. In 2017, the minimum hardware requirement was 512MB of memory, which has been increased to 1GB in the past two years, and this year, it was officially increased to 2GB of memory. The minimum storage space has also been raised to 16 GB, although Google did not explicitly mention this in the documentation. OEMs are only eligible for Play Store authorization if they meet the minimum hardware requirements.
