Back to Windows 10 from KDE

I have and only have one old laptop.

I was watching videos at home during the National Day holiday. I installed Windows 10 before, and I always felt stuck and hot when I used it. Anyway, I am idle and I am thinking about whether to install openSUSE and experience it. Earlier I experienced plasma for a long time, but at the time I was using Kubuntu. The previous experience was good, and if it wasn’t for the fact that I really enjoyed the experience of playing videos with Potplayer, I probably wouldn’t have gone back to Windows.

All in all, it’s free time. When I installed the openSUSE system, configured various requirements and application software, and tried to use it in depth to meet my daily habits, I found that I really couldn’t stand the replacement of Potplayer (just those few players) in Linux. User experience in the environment. In addition, my tossing with fonts and interface also ended in dissatisfaction. After two days of use, I decided to go back to Windows 10. Without it, I can tolerate and get used to it, and I think many applications in the Linux environment are very efficient and easy to use, but I really can’t stand the problem that the video player is not easy to use, because I can’t live without Potplayer , it accounts for a disproportionately high percentage of my day-to-day computer time.

I was thinking that if there is a player comparable to Potplayer in the Linux environment, I would definitely continue to use the Linux desktop without hesitation, but at the moment, not yet, at least, I have not found.

Fortunately, after I reinstalled Windows 10 and used it to this day, I found that the stuttering did not appear, but it happened almost every day before. So, the explanation should be that the garbage is flooded after the system has been used for a long time and the environment has become more and more complicated after the system is updated? Maybe some system service is causing the conflict? Anyway, just reinstall it. By the way, I’m using Windows 10 LTSC 2019, and it just works.

So, don’t toss around blindly in the future. Don’t just change the operating environment you are used to. After a long time, it’s not easy to use it, and you just need to reinstall the system. After all, what suits you is the best. Of course, if there is a player that can perfectly replace Potplayer in the Linux system one day, I will also consider cutting it to have a look and experience the experience. If so, I might be able to use the Linux desktop without any pressure?
