Microsoft has launched the Insider project for major products including Windows, Office, and Xbox, and the latest news says that Microsoft is expected to expand the project in the near future to include Surface Duo.

Microsoft watcher Gustave Monce (Gustave Monce) recently discovered a dedicated “Surface Insider Program” page in the Surface Duo device, which has a page layout similar to how Windows users register for the Windows Insider Program in the Settings app.

IT Home learned that Mons also found that users can register for different channels, somewhat similar to the Dev, Beta, and Release Preview channels in the current Windows Insider project.

While the Surface Duo and Duo 2 offer nearly every Android experience, the Insider program will help the company invite more users to test these features before rolling them out to everyone. Android phone makers including Samsung and OnePlus have their own beta programs to test new features before making them available to a larger user base. Microsoft’s Duo devices seem to be heading in that direction.
