36氪 was informed that, according to Canalys, facing the triple pressure of economic challenges, high inflation and low seasonal demand, the North American smartphone market shipped 35.4 million units in the second quarter, down 6.4% year-on-year. Apple led North America for the third consecutive quarter with 3% growth, driven by strong demand for the iPhone 13 and a solid quarter for the entry-level iPhone SE. Samsung’s S-series and low-end A-series devices continued to sell well, with shipments up 4%. Lenovo (Motorola), TCL and Google rounded out the top 5 with 9%, 5% and 2% market share respectively.
