Faruk Fatih Ozer, founder and CEO of the defunct cryptocurrency exchange Thodex, has been arrested in the Albanian city of Vlore . Thodex, the Turkish exchange, faces up to 40,564 years in prison after Turkey issued a global warrant for Ozer after he ran off with the money in April 2021. Research by Chainanalysis shows that the global cryptocurrency industry will lose $2.8 billion in rug pull scams in 2021, of which 90% will occur on the Thodex exchange.
