Recently, OpenAI announced the launch of a new version of ChatGPT, adding two new features: voice input and image input. According to OpenAI, the new features will be rolled out to ChatGPT Plus subscribers over the next two weeks, and others will be able to use them “soon.”

The voice input function is similar to a voice assistant on a mobile phone. Users only need to press a button and speak their question, and ChatGPT will convert it into text, then generate an answer, and then convert the answer into speech and play it to the user.

The image input function is similar to Google Lens. Users can take photos of things they are interested in and upload them to ChatGPT. ChatGPT will try to identify what the user wants to ask and give an appropriate answer. Users can also use the drawing tools in the app to help express their questions, or communicate with voice or text input. The advantage of ChatGPT is that it allows for multiple rounds of conversations rather than a one-time search. If users are not satisfied with the answer or want more information, they can continue to ask questions to ChatGPT to get more accurate and comprehensive answers.
