There were no activities arranged during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and it was not interesting to play in Nanjing all the time, so the family thought of going to Yangzhou for morning tea. Anyway, Nanjing is a very fast drive, and it only takes one and a half hours from door to door.

My daughter was still young, so she woke up at 8:00 in the morning, and it was almost 9:00 after washing up. I went downstairs and started driving. From the Ring Expressway to the Nanjing Fourth Bridge and across the river, it was exactly 10:30 when I arrived at Guoqing Road in downtown Yangzhou.

According to my last visit experience, there must be a lot of people in Fuchun Tea House, so we planned to go to the Wuting Yinchun Tea House where the local people go. After looking at the map, it was next to the parking lot I was looking for. When we walked to the door, we were told by the waiter, Morning tea is over. Afterwards, several waves of people came over, but they also failed to eat. Looking at the bustling crowd, the restaurant pretended not to do business, which was a bit “out of tune” with the current world.

Now that this store is gone, I can only try my luck at Fuchun, which is also on Guoqing Road nearby. Good guy, after entering the door, I saw that the stairs were full of people. Many people said that tourists with big bags and small bags dressed up. Is it famous? The highest morning tea shop.

However, I have come here to eat before, and there are too many people. I share a table with others. The experience is average. My wife has never eaten before. I am not reconciled. I want to go up to the second floor to see how many people are there. After she went up to see, she came down and told me ” Let’s go, there are too many people…”

The alley from the main road of Guoqing Road to Fuchun Tea House is an antique alley, which can be described as a street displaying “Three Knives of Yangzhou”. I took a look, and most of them are kitchen knives (kitchen knives), and the other two knives, razors and pedicure knives, are basically not used by ordinary people.

We didn’t have breakfast when we left in the morning, my stomach was already growling, and I almost wanted to find a restaurant to eat.

I asked my friends on WeChat again, and told them that “Gonghechun”, one of the “three springs” of Yangzhou morning tea session, is not far from Guoqing Road. There are fewer people than Fuchun Yechun, and the taste is not bad. So we followed the map to Gonghechun on Ganquan Road. The old city of Yangzhou is not very big. Go to the south end of Guoqing Road and turn west to Ganquan Road, then 100 meters away.

Although there were people queuing up for Gonghechun, there were only a dozen or so people, and it was obvious that the queue was advancing very fast, or it might be a temporary noon, and the peak period for “morning” tea was over.

We used to queue for 5 minutes to order and be seated.

Said it was morning tea, and it was almost 12 o’clock, so I ate it for lunch.

My wife and daughter came to Yangzhou for the first time, so we ordered the well-known Yangzhou morning tea dishes, such as shrimp roe wonton, Wuding buns, crab meat dumplings in soup, dry noodles, waist slice soup, etc.

Maybe it was because I was hungry, but the food in the first half of the journey was very delicious, but in the second half of the journey, my stomach was basically full, and my combat effectiveness dropped significantly, especially the soup dumplings.

After dinner, I want to go to Slender West Lake. After all, it is the most famous scenic spot in Yangzhou.

After I drove the car to the parking lot at the gate of the West Gate of Slender West Lake, I found that the smog in Yangzhou was serious that day, the weather was sultry, and maybe we were too full to eat. After buying mineral water in the supermarket, I took a photo of my daughter at the door and set off for Nanjing.

I think it is very close to Nanjing anyway, so I will come again next time. Apart from the Slender West Lake, places like Geyuan, Daming Temple, and the Grand Canal Museum will be more interesting when the children are older.
