In a paper published this month in the journal Nutrients, researchers from Tsinghua University investigated the link between sugar-sweetened beverage consumption and hair loss in men. From January to April 2022, the researchers recruited 1,951 young men aged 18-45 and collected data through an online questionnaire. Results showed that high sugar-sweetened beverage consumption was associated with a higher risk of hair loss in men. Researchers recommend that young people reduce their consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages to minimize negative health effects.
