With the development of the new energy industry, the application scenarios of high-voltage and even ultra-high voltage have forced the demand for fuses to change. According to the calculation of the future think tank, the value of a fuse device in a new energy passenger car is estimated to be 218 yuan, and the new energy commercial The single-vehicle value of a car is usually 700-900 yuan. Compared with the traditional car market, the application of new energy has a value increase of more than 10 times. Only in the field of new energy vehicles, the fuse market is expected to reach 10 billion yuan in 2025.
A fuse is a current protection device. When the circuit is short-circuited or overloaded, the fuse cuts off the faulty circuit by extinguishing the arc. Most of the electricity used in the new energy industry is high-voltage DC circuits. Under high-voltage currents, circuit protection devices need to be stable and respond more quickly. The current market demand for circuit protection has shifted from AC fuses to DC fuses. Compared with AC fuses, new energy DC fuses have complex application environments, greater requirements for insulation resistance, and higher design difficulties. Biaodi DC fuse can be cut off within 1ms as soon as it encounters a fault, preventing circuit fires caused by collision and overcharge.

In the global market distribution of DC fuses, in the past, it was mostly monopolized by international manufacturers. According to statistics from Paumanok Publications Inc., as of 2019, overseas first-line brands such as Littelfuse, Bussmann, and Mersen together accounted for about 90% of the global market share. According to Zhang Ling, in the past, most of the domestic market practitioners made AC fuses, and there were relatively few manufacturers of DC devices. However, at present, new kinetic energy circuit protection scenarios such as new energy vehicles and charging piles require the use of DC fuses.
Having stable customers and having undergone long-term verification is the moat of Bundi. It is reported that automobile manufacturers have a relatively long verification cycle. After the cycle of product design, simulation and testing, and the solution is finalized, the cohesion between the two parties will be very high. Biaodi established a project team in 2015 and currently has high-speed segmentation technology, composite arc extinguishing technology and intelligent detection algorithms. At present, Biaodi has cooperated with Dongfeng Motor, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Geely and other manufacturers, and has undergone small batch trials. Biaodi expects to ship 1.3 million units this year, with 1.2 million vehicles and 100,000 charging piles.
In addition to establishing cooperation with core auto OEMs, Biaodi also participated in 5G base stations and State Grid sample delivery tests, and conducted customized cooperation with ship oil-to-electricity project suppliers to start small batch deliveries. In the future, Biaodi plans to focus on fuses, starting from the new energy vehicle industry, and gradually entering the shipping, photovoltaic, wind power, rail and other markets to become a core supplier.
