Thirty-six years after Defender, Defender: The Lone Ranger accurately reproduces consistent texture and structure. But the focus of the film shifted from the plot back then to the character, namely Maverick. (no thunder)

Top Gun: Maverick

The same as thirty-six years ago, this movie still has elite pilots competing with each other and a wonderful air battle scene. But it all revolves around a new main axis: Maverick’s growth. We watched him finally learn to face his unfinished business, as well as himself.

This meticulous focus flip is quite successful. If you just look at the plot of the same robes competing and cooperating, you will feel that it is okay. The development of the plot can also be expected. The training and fighting scenes are brilliant, but they are not the subject of the movie after all. Only by focusing on Maverick can the film be unified.

You were classmates in your early twenties. Now that you are almost 60, you screw up your work all day long, and every time you rely on your classmates who are already high officials. This may not just be Maverick, but also the life of every old guy who grew up with the movie (of course not necessarily so dramatic).

I was seventeen years old when The Defender came out. When I watched “Defender: The Lone Ranger” again, I was fifty-three years old. Thirty-six years of our lives have passed like this. Looking back on the high spirits of the year, is there any meaning to the 36 years of life?

When we watch Defender: The Lone Ranger, we are not only watching movies, but life. What I see is not just Maverick in the movie, but also myself in reality. Everyone has their own unfinished business to face and their own knots to solve.

If you just want to see a feeling, this movie won’t let you down. By the lofty standards of the original “Defender,” this movie won’t let you down. I think most audiences come into theaters with high expectations, and this movie lives up to those expectations.

This movie may not necessarily surpass the achievements of the first episode, but it is a fairly successful sequel. (It’s too hard for a sequel to surpass the first one. Probably only Alien 2 has ever seen a movie in my life.)

Generations of pilots have changed, and so have fighter jets. To be honest, the character of the F/A-18E is not as distinct as that of the F-14. But that is also the reality of this era. But as revealed in the movie trailer, you’ll still see a live F-14 in this movie. The details cannot be explained here.

Of course the focus is on people. The enemy doesn’t know where your limits are. Maybe you don’t know it yourself. In the end, the key to victory or defeat is not the strength of the enemy, but how much you understand your own potential and how much you trust your intuition.

Maverick has spent his entire life pushing himself to the limit. But most of the generations that grew up with movies lived in their comfort zone all their lives. The youth and frivolity of watching “The Defender” seemed like only yesterday, and suddenly we were getting old. Have we really tried enough to really understand ourselves?

This film is also our own heritage, letting go and moving forward. What do we want to leave to the next generation? What unfinished business from the past is to be let go? What are we going to do next in life?

Hope everyone’s life has the opportunity to perform an equally great sequel.
