I have always had a dream of making my own product. In the early stage of the mobile Internet, I still remember that in 2012, I led the launch of a product in the second company I worked for, but unfortunately I didn’t take it to heart at that time. I went to study the design painstakingly.
In the past 10 years, I have been deeply involved in the design industry. During this period, I have also made some products with friends, and there are also some small achievements. Due to various reasons, the final product was forced to be taken off the shelf, so the product is actually accompanied by me. the entire employment stage.
I have always believed that music should convey more emotions than its own sound. The appearance of [Dtd Playlist] was actually an idea that came to me when I was at home during the epidemic. I wondered if I could make a playlist product that I could “watch” on the desktop? After having this idea, I couldn’t stop and started designing the product, prototyping, doing UI and related preparations.
The article you are reading now is that after I checked the code of my partner and raised countless bugs, I felt that I needed to record the whole process. It’s my first product after all and I’m going to take good care of it.
The name of the product is [Dtd Playlist], and everyone should be able to guess that it is a playlist app by looking at the name.
? Main features:
? A selection of 10 commonly used scene music (learning scenes, sports scenes, fishing and emptying, late night emo…), and real-time updates, a steady stream
? Cool GIF backgrounds and fun digital clocks
? Vacuum play, no mess, just music
? Different styles of layout design, put it on the desktop to enjoy the difference
Because I am a senior user of Apple Music and Spotify, and a loyal fan of playlists for many years, the first thing I did in the preparation stage was to think about which music I need to put in? and how to put it?
So I found a lot of information, watched a lot of music channels on YouTube, and finally decided to use [mood, scene] as the overall playlist classification, and the music was connected to Apple Music and Spotify. Due to time reasons, the first one Version only supports Apple Music.

In the end, I selected 10 scene-based playlists, each of which screened hundreds of music and Apple Music playlists, and developed an overall acquisition mechanism to allow products to be updated and played randomly at any time.
In addition, in the process of designing the product, I always put the design diagram on the mobile phone stand, but I always peek at the time, so based on the playlist, I hope that the user can look at the music that is playing and the present time.
So the final product is probably what you see:
A slightly different, emotional scene GIF + a somewhat interesting digital clock.

Think about the hidden points that haven’t been said…
- Double-click to like: After double-clicking the liked song, it will be synced to the Apple Music like list, and you can listen to more music of the same type on Apple Music later
- Switch classification: The first version still hopes that the product is simpler, so the classification is relatively hidden, click the upper left corner to expand
I will look at user feedback and do some update iterations later. I also have some iteration plans, which are probably as follows:
- Access Spotify
- The logic of the continuous iteration of the playlist
- “Favorite Songs” list
- Continue to update more layouts
- music widget
[Dtd Playlist] is now officially launched, you are welcome to download and experience it in the App Store .
Finally, I hope [Dtd Playlist] can let you enjoy unique music on your desktop, and you are welcome to give us comments and suggestions at any time in the comment area.
Next, I will also start the design and development of the second product, and I will continue to synchronize with you here in the future.
