EA prepares to retire BioWare Points, all DLC for BioWare’s old games are free

In the past, if players wanted to buy additional content of BioWare games such as DLC, they could only use a virtual currency called BioWare Points. This virtual currency was rarely discounted, and the game itself was often much cheaper than DLC, causing players to complain. To partially solve this problem, EA has bundled BioWare game DLC. Now it’s ready to completely phase out BioWare Points, and unlike Ubisoft’s approach (where Ubisoft is going to shut down servers so players won’t be able to access the DLC), EA has decided to make all DLC for BioWare games free (single player only), including the Dragon Age series and the Mass Effect series. Players can now log into their EA game account to access additional content for the respective BioWare game and choose to unlock previously paid DLC. Among them, the DLC of the Mass Effect series has been included in the “Mass Effect Legendary Edition” released not long ago, but there is no remake of the Dragon Age series.
