Extremely bad Amazon experience (running gag version)

After this experience, I will never use Amazon again, the experience was terrible and so mood destroying.

It’s already during Black Friday shopping. Because now the laptop has been used for 5 years, even after changing a lot of parts, it is now underperforming and affecting the productivity. So I am going to buy a new one.

Combined with Claude’s many tips, I was looking at a Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 Intel (16″) with up to RTX 4080 on amazon. the original price was $3259, but there was a 5% coupon available, but after I placed the order, I used adro to pay for it. But adro froze my card when they saw that I hadn’t verified my US address for a long time, then I got adro to unfreeze my card, but the payment still failed because I still hadn’t verified my US address. So amazon canceled my order. But when I re-ordered at amazon after verifying the US address of my Adro bank card, I realized that I could no longer use the 5% coupon offer. I messed around for more than 10 minutes and it still didn’t work, so following Claude’s advice to me, I went straight to customer service on the website, but I couldn’t find customer service on the website. This reminds me that when I use Pinduoduo or Taobao in China, finding customer service is almost always a second response and a very good experience.

Then I followed Claude’s suggestion and called amazon customer service, at first it was a robot that answered the phone, all kinds of troublesome things, such as verifying the account and so on, first wasted me 5min, then changed to a real person, after I gave the problem and the real person feedback, the real person didn’t know what to do, it seems to have disappeared, but the phone has been in the middle of a call, I spoke to the opposite side also didn’t respond, I waited for 7min. 7min still no response, I hung up the phone. I waited for 7 minutes and when there was no response, I hung up. While I was waiting, I had a very, very bad experience with amazon, and was annoyed with the content, and felt that I had wasted so much time because of amazon’s problems, which I wouldn’t have had if I had used Pinduoduo or Taobao or Jingdong in China. Therefore I did not want to use amazon, but went directly to the official website of Lenovo. That’s when the item Legion Pro 7i Gen 9 Intel (16″) with up to RTX 4090 was selected for only $2,570, which is quite a bit cheaper overall even though the configurations are a bit weaker, e.g. 64GB for the amazon model and 32GB for the official website version. But I wanted more discounts, took my time again, verified my student status + REWARDS, and ended up with a price of $2,651.50 after taxes. I’m very, very bad now and feel like I wasted too much time because of it, regret it, and am in a very bad mood.

Remember, too, that having Pinduoduo in the country actually pushes Ali and Jingdong to have to do better.
