FAA says YouTube streamer deliberately crashed plane

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced the immediate revocation of the private pilot’s license of a YouTube streamer whose investigation found that the streamer deliberately crashed his plane to film the crash. YouTube anchor Trevor Jacob uploaded a video of the crash of the single-engine light plane Taylorcraft on November 24 last year. He claimed to have flown the plane to Mammoth to sprinkle a friend’s ashes, but the engine stalled on the way, and he jumped from the plane with a Gopro camera to film the drama of the crash. The matter has sparked a lot of controversy, with the plane crash believed to have been planned rather than accidental. The FAA subsequently announced an investigation. The FAA has no right to sue, it can only revoke license suspensions and impose fines.
