Finally got my passport replaced

Brother Dou and I decided to come to Japan to study in our junior year. At that time, we found an intermediary to guide the to-do list remotely, and the passport application was the first thing to do. After I applied for my passport in Shanghai by myself, I suddenly felt that I had grown up a little bit. I was already a real adult who had a passport and could run around the world! Passports are valid for ten years. Our passports expired at the end of 2020. When the new crown was at its worst, the official account of the embassy urged people not to come to the embassy unless it was urgent. Of course, I still checked the information online and confirmed that it does not matter if the passport expires, as long as you stay in the same place and do not cross the border. Later, when I went to change my visa because of the expiration of my visa, I suddenly remembered that my passport had expired and I was worried. As a result, the old man who handled the business looked like he didn’t care. He saw my cramp and comforted me in the opposite direction – it’s okay, you will come back anyway. Don’t go (is that consolation?). Drag, drag, two years have passed, because Brother Dou wanted to renew his visa, he checked his passport for a new one, and found that he could apply online, so he arranged it immediately. After he successfully handled it, I was also eager to try it and downloaded it happily. National Anti-Fraud Center APP The Chinese Consular APP was moved by the words on the screen – “Wherever you go, the motherland is behind you, and the service is with you.”

The process is still very simple and intuitive, just follow the prompts step by step. First, fill in the information as required, and then follow the prompts to download the PDF to fill in, just like filling out the form in the library before. I took advantage of the lunch break in the company to fill out the electronic version with Ps and then print it out. It is very efficient, and it is easy to correct mistakes. The forms are all good. The most troublesome thing is that you must provide a photo with the local newspaper and a passport photo. Brother Dou went to the convenience store to buy a newspaper and asked me to help take it. Later, I don’t know how he acted so arrogantly, and a photo I took was successfully submitted, so now my new passport is a cute photo of him taking a selfie, and I will follow him through the next ten years. With this (not so successful) experience of Brother Dou, I already have simple countermeasures in my mind. As an independent woman in the new era full of artistic cells, I will not allow random photos to appear on my passport! So I thought of a good way – let Brother Dou take pictures for me with a camera, and I will fix it myself. Anyway, self-portrait photo 1 is already a very familiar thing for me. So one morning (it had to be a working day, otherwise I would be too lazy to put on makeup), I dressed up, put on a clean white T-shirt, and asked Brother Dou to simply take a few pictures for me. I checked it and felt that it was okay, so I stopped working and went to work and went to school. When I was free, I began to work hard to make a picture, to make myself beautiful and natural, and to keep a pinch of dull hair on the top of my head, and then happily submit photos, as expected, it passed smoothly. Ah, that’s called professionalism!

As for the photo with the newspaper, I didn’t want to buy the newspaper, because I don’t read it, it’s a waste! I planned to be thick-skinned and pick it up at the convenience store, take a photo, and put it back, but the convenience store at noon was too crowded, and people were really embarrassed. And now it’s very difficult to touch it and put it back, so I bought it for the price of a cup of coffee. As a result, when I was fiddling with the newspaper before getting on the elevator, the newspaper knocked over my coffee, which was completely out of the question. I was at a loss for a while, but fortunately my colleague just came down and helped me think of a way to solve it smoothly. I also ran out of coffee because I didn’t have time to buy any more and I had to take a group photo. I asked another colleague to help, she didn’t know so, I explained it was for passport renewal, she was still confused. I said, maybe to prove that the person is indeed in Japan. I felt like she was overwhelmed by the ingenuity of our consulate. Take a photo, upload it, and all the materials are complete. After paying the fee, the next step is to wait for the review. I don’t really remember the specifics, but in about three or five working days, I was reminded that I could come to the museum. I took a day off to go to Osaka to get everything done, super fast. After about two weeks, my new passport was sent! Sprinkle flowers!

Finally, after Popo and Dou Ge, I got a passport with an electronic chip, and I was very excited! The old passport was cut off a corner and lay quietly in the drawer. Although it was not full, it also recorded a lot of my footprints. The countless stamps entering and leaving China and Japan seem to be telling nostalgia, as well as the precious Schengen visa, and the Japanese visa that has now been replaced by the residence card. South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Finland, Norway… I have traveled to quite a few places. Every trip has made me grow into a better me, so I will continue to travel in the future, taking Popo and Dou Ge to travel around the world! Do you know when the new passport can be used?
