Yesterday, Mercury Bear participated in his first official half-marathon, and finally finished the race safely in 2 hours and 15 minutes, which was better than his preset goal of 2 and a half hours.
On the way, I met many running masters who were as fast as flying. Although I admired them, I did not waver. I ran silently at my own pace. In the end, I ranked 365th among nearly 1,700 runners of the same level, ranking among the top 22%.
Just like your own dividend path, on the way to the end, from time to time you will meet some dazzling investment stars who seem to be able to make a lot of money easily, which will lead to a psychological struggle of self-questioning. Should you give up the dividend path and go to the end of the road? I follow the investment method that can make money more quickly, but then I think about it, becoming the first in the investment road has never been my goal. What I want is the ability to be financially independent, and other people’s investment methods are not suitable for me. Even if the road to dividends does not go quickly, it will eventually lead you to become one of the vanguard to reach the end.
In life, we will inevitably have this mentality. When we see other people’s dynamics and states, the more beautiful they are, the less peaceful we will feel. Sometimes I am stimulated by the outside world, and my heart is either turned upside down or at least slightly disturbed overnight. Paying too much attention to what others are doing can easily disrupt your own pace. Mercury Bear always comforts himself, “Don’t be happy with things, don’t be sad with yourself.” You must stick to your heart.
Your life is not to set off other people’s shine, and your efforts are not to cover up other people’s light.
You must know that you always have your own life. If you follow someone else’s path, you will never reach the destination you want to go to.
You have to believe that everyone’s life cannot be copied. All other people’s lives can give you is inspiration and thinking. What you need is not to imitate, but to see your future more clearly.
As long as you keep moving forward, the light of others will eventually be just the scenery and background on your road. The important thing is that you have to be able to hear your inner voice and know what you want.
Don’t lose sight of your own direction because of the light of others.
