Recently, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, and the State Intellectual Property Office jointly issued the “Management Measures for the Demonstration Establishment of Chinese Time-honored Brands” (hereinafter referred to as the “Measures”).

The “Measures” insist on equal emphasis on historical traditions and exemplary leadership, protection and promotion and standardized management, and focus on giving full play to the exemplary and leading role of time-honored brands in consumption promotion, industrial upgrading, cultural leadership, and national self-confidence. Clear regulations and requirements have been made on basic conditions, declaration and identification, and dynamic management. The “Measures” propose to establish a dynamic management mechanism of “entry and exit”, continuously improve the list of Chinese time-honored brands, promote the development of Chinese time-honored brands to comply with the market mechanism, maintain integrity and innovate, lead more market players to achieve high-quality development, and strive to boost development confidence , Accelerate brand cultivation and development, promote the formation of a strong domestic market, and better meet people’s needs for a better life.
