Fox Robotics secures $20 million in Series B funding

Fox Robotics is a maker of self-driving forklifts that automatically unload trailers, similar to a self-driving car, and are customized for warehouse environments. Fox Robotics’ forklifts use modern AI to detect pallets, trailers and obstacles in real-time and do not require pre-programmed fixed positions. They use sensors and dynamic programming to dynamically plan routes without the need for hand drawn or stored routes. FoxRobotics announced the closing of a $20 million funding round led by B+MWiVentures. Other new investors include Zebra Technologies, Japan Airlines and Translink Innovation Fund, and Foothill Ventures. Existing investors MenloVentures, ENIAC Ventures and SiqnalFire also participated in the round. Concurrent with the closing of this round of financing, former KUKA CEO Till Reuter and former KUKA CTO, D David Fuller, current CEO of Artificial, will join the company as independent directors.
